about

Anomaly in Effigy Queenstown, Maryland

This is metal influenced by 90s Norwegian black metal and USBM, classic heavy metal bands, a little Swedish death metal, my own fucked up mental states, and occultism, particularly Hermeticism and Thelema.

Started writing around 2004, and released home-recorded demos on small underground metal labels beginning in 2006. Have been releasing records on small labels or independently since then.

Track Name: Descent 777
Midnight Sun
Luna's eye
Over the waters
Falling star
Midnight Sun
Coming back around
Dividing cell
Earthen throne

Leagues above
Miles within
Star amid stars
God amongst gods
Flaming sword
Lightning bolt
Null made two
Two made flesh
Track Name: Aphelion
Life devoid of joy
Distractions and hollow pursuits

Barred from any heights
Constant interruption
Down among the dross
Down among the filth

Down, down, down
Down, down, down
Down, down, down

Unbalanced
Divided
Conquered
Unbalanced
Divided
Conquered

Dweller of Thagirion
Dweller of Thagirion
Dweller of Thagirion
Track Name: Perihelion
Coiled deep within
Springing forth in delight
Shaking the kingdom of earth
Blinding, ever luminous
Track Name: Closing the Loop
Richly the colors mingle
The jade and scarlet
The fertile deep shades
Standing in open meadows
Or under archways
Grown from the living earth

Flowing with water
Down from the mountain
Into the deep
Dark down below
Rising with fire
Into the heavens
The path is laid
Before my feet

Lifting our worn eyes upward
We all are blinded
By the blazing star
Nightfall and walking westward
My shadow lengthens
Covering my trail

Onward I go

Aum shivaya vashi aum
